DJ Vitamin D (aka Derrick Daisey) quickly became known around his new hometown. His devastating blend of techno and slamming house cuts made him a resident for any hot club or rave going off in Colorado. Riding a wave of popularity, Derrick began playing throughout the Midwest and his native West Coast every weekend, leaving precious little time for his production. However, the one record that was released, "The Lift" on his own Daisey Age Recordings immediately became a hit in the US underground. Every clubber remembers the command to 'give me a motherf**kin breakbeat' and response to the tune made it #1 with DJ Dan (Kinetic Records), Donald Glaude (Moonshine Music), and even made it to the top of the dance charts in Rolling Stone Magazine. Vitamin D has been more selective about the raves he plays at lately, but he still managed to win the Best DJ in a reader's poll for Westword magazine in addition to his popular weekly radio show and internet show for www.raveworld.net.
