At 24, San Francisco's Michael Anthony is pioneering a new kind of sound. An eclectic, yet perfect diffusion that is decidedly house, tech + polyrhythmic electro funk, while simultaneously dropping hints of classic rock, undertones of world percussion + new school breaks.
It began in May 1996 when Michael interned for Jeno + Scott Hardkiss for the Summer learning the skill of music production and design, label management, licensing and helping release albums such as "Little Wing and Hawke"
He has honed his skills since then and now is a distinct promise who has earned himself a weekly residency in San Francisco's 1015 Folsom@ Nikita + Spundae, monthly appearances at LA super club, Giant, Seattle's Superhighway + Denver's SOMA, playing along side greats such as Paul Van Dyke, Laurent Garnier + Paul Oakenfold.
From the studio comes two new releases slated for February 2001,"Come Alive" with remixes by Skull Valley of Tranquility Bass + Michael's first mixed CD release "AestheticTheories", both out on Terraform Records. Following his release, of "Aesthetic Theories" there will be a 15 city tour across the United States launching February 2nd at Nikita.
Michael Anthony attacks the vinyl with soul dedication to the dancers + respect for the DJ as a modern day shaman.
