Having been in the game fifteen years, the Denver-based imprint Terraform Records has amassed a large catalog of recordings, released and otherwise, and has seen and heard the stylistic changes in dance music first hand. After a bit of a break from releasing tunes, Terraform are back with a vengeance, dusting off the door to their tune vault, and seeing what audio surprises can be found. One such discovery is “So Good,” a seriously banging big room track from renowned club DJ Vitamin D. Vitamin D had been DJ’ing on the club and rave circuit even longer than Terraform’s fifteen year existence and by the late 90’s/early 00’s had established quite a name for himself in the US dance music scene. His history with Terraform includes a number of regarded 12″ singles and 2002’s Denver Live mix CD. However, a bout with high frequency hearing loss and his newfound role as the mogul of his own label, the downtempo imprint Cold Busted, has moved Vitamin D out of the clubbing limelight … but the tunes remain.
Thus Terraform unleash the previously unreleased “So Good,” a fierce tech-house cut featuring huge, pounding beats, a wild, insistent vocal sample line, and building  clarion tones adding to the massive sonic charge. This one will definitely bring you back.
Eddie Armador is a house music legend, if no other reason than the words in his 1998 singles “House Music” (“… it’s a spiritual thing, a body thing …”). His plethora of large club singles for the likes of Yoshitoshi, Defected, and his own Mochicoprimo label are consistent house DJ staples. This firmly established reputation and track record convinced Terraform to work with Armador, and his remix of “So Good” in this package is part of this collaboration. Armador’s prototypical rhythm pulsations and punchy low end lend a hypnotic build to his Mochico Remix, accented by stereo manipulations of the vocal hook, now found in the foreground. The result is a bonafide dancefloor monster, well-primed for heavy duty peak time action. Vitamin D’s “So Good” and Eddie Armador’s Mochico Remix add serious weight to Terraform’s catalog of club music hefty tracks. Stay tuned for more exciting releases, including some more surprises from the vault.
